Poor customer service, and basically they just didn't want to offer me a student account.
Having been with Lloyds TSB for over 15 years, I naturally went to them first to open a student account as a mature student. I was refused on the grounds that they considered me a credit risk. I have been at home raising kids for years as a single parent, and sometimes it's been financially tough. So because of a few late catalogue payments (no CCJ's) my credit history is damaged. Even though I have credit cards and a debit card. I will not be using them when I have my degree and a good salary!
