Good Points

Easy to follow instructions.
Easy to apply.
Clean smelling, kind to your skin, and in spite of feeling greasy, it always washes off well.


Bad Points

You need to invest time in learning the instructions for the deep cleanse (so you don't have to keep reading them), but it is certainly worth doing so for the long term.
Do use hot, not tepid water, as it makes a difference!


General Comments

I decided to treat myself when in the UK for a friends wedding - and being close to a Space.NK store. I had heard and read so many good things about Eve Lom Cleansing Cream, I decided it may well be worth investing in my own trial.

I have combination problem skin, and I am very prone to eruptions, especially around my chin. When I started using Eve Lom I had a large red spot smouldering under the surface near the corner of my mouth, and no amount of tea tree oil was making any difference.

When I woke up the next morning after using the cleanser for the first time, my 'spot' already looked like it was healing. It continued to improve as I used the product and almost disappeared. I was following the deep cleansing regime as indicated, twice per week for the first two weeks. Then I came home from my holidays and misplaced the instructions. As a result I was re-enacting the deep-cleansing regime from memory, but it clearly wasn't working and I was breaking out again. I found the instructions again, a week ago, and I have deep-cleansed twice, and my skin has started to improve again, which is a relief.

Others have offered the opinion that the cloth does all the work, or that it leaves their skin too dry and they require a moisturiser. Certainly, I can verify after my unintentional experiment that it's not all about the cloth. With regards to the moisturiser, I ignore my old habits of thinking my face is slightly dry as I'm going to bed, and in the morning there is no tightness whatsoever.

I know it's expensive, but it's certainly going to save money on cleansers and toners, and it removes makeup rather well. I rarely wear makeup, but anytime I do so, it comes off quite easily.

All in all, it is slightly expensive, but it lasts a long time, and it is certainly doing the job asked of it on my skin.
