Good Points

Worked better on my hair when dry.
Gives hair a shiny appearance but...

Bad Points

...a horrible greasy feel. I was not impressed when I applied it to wet hair and left it to dry naturally. It needs reapplying when hair is dry, and it is hard to judge the amount to use. Too much and you're left with a lank greasy mess, and too little, and you still look like the Candy Floss Queen!

General Comments

Having read reviews about LOreal Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Serum, I thought I would give it a go. I purchased some on Ebay. My hair is dry on the ends, naturally wavy, shoulder length and highlighted, and it needs a product to control it!

First I tried it on wet hair. I applied about the same amount as I had been using with the John Freida serum, although this was far more runny! I smoothed it through my hair and left it to dry naturally. It looked almost like I had not used a styling product! Ken Dodd eat your heart out! I managed to tame it a bit by using more of the serum, leaving it fairly shiny but greasy to the touch. I would really love defined curls, and although my hair is naturally wavy, this left it looking quite lank! So I came to a compromise, and for my hair this seems to be working fairly well! Now when I wash my hair I use, as I had been, John Freida Frizz Ease Serum on my wet hair. I then tie it back in a loose ponytail, go to bed and let it dry overnight. In the morning I loosen it, shake it about then apply a little L'Oreal Smooth Intense, little by little and from underneath hair, not on top! This seems to give my hair the body I like, which is controlled and wavy, with a nice shine and no greasy lank look or feel! So no, I will not knock this product, but for me it needs a little back up from what I consider to be a more controlling product with no residue, and that is the John Freida Serum, which I must admit, I find to be a better product for my hair type. I will use up the L'Oreal serum as I have 2 bottles, but I will not be looking to make further purchases.

It may be worth a try if you can find some, but if it doesn't do it for you either, Try my method! Or stick to John Freida!
