Good Points

Inexpensive for the design
When it shoots, it's very accurate
Easy to aim

Bad Points

Seals blow out frequently
Pellets can be a bear to load
A definite finger pincher if you don't watch out
Mine broke after 2 days

General Comments

The Beeman P3 and the Marksman 2000 are identical, the only difference being Wal-Mart doesn't carry the Beeman.

I've owned and shot both with equally dismal results. The Beeman eats piston seals for breakfast. Mine blew two in less than a week and that was maybe after 50 pellets. On the positive side, you can't miss the target. It is accurate. Loading the pellet is somewhat awkward which makes quick reloads a non-event. Mine also suffered from the "paint" blues. The barrel is painted which means the slightest scratch turns into a disaster in a short period of time.

If they would get over the seal blowing problem, it would be a good pistol.

I dunno what you're doing to blow seals out Ted but my 12 yo. nephew has had one for two years and never had one problem with it. As for the loading its just like my P1, a bit awkward at first but you get used to it. As for its accuracy you are dead on right. I just bought the P3 combo from "StraightShooters" with the 2x20 Beeman scope and it came outta the box a tack driver! If anyone is thinking about this gun get the combo from SS. Please don't hunt with it but theres nothing better out there for honing your pistol skills....SSSSSS

I would like to hear more supporting evidence for "blown seals". How did you replace them? Were you able to replace them yourself? Was it covered by warranty? What did the manufacturer say about the problem? Why do you think it hasn't happened a third time?

I understand how seals/o-rings will wear on CO2 airguns because the seal is under pressure for 50-80 consecutive shots. But the P3 is a single-shot pistol that is only pressurized until the next shot is fired.
