Accurate, Quiet (with Weihrauch silencer), great finish

Bad Points

Never enough targets

General Comments

The Webley Fx2000 is a quality precision piece of engineering, once the target is acquired you have no chance of missing. Power can easily be adjusted to FAC with the turn of a screw and the replacement of the soft hammer spring. If anyone wants to know how it is done please let me know. Best rifle I have owned in years

Totally agree 10/10. This great rifle has now been dropped from the Webley range due to take over. The last few can be bought .22 carbine Beech from Ramsbottom's at £329. They are still made (in Sweden) under other names. With regard to power adjustment what do you do after removing the 2mm locking grubscrew on the sidee of the barrel? I could not find any adjustment screw. Please advise.

It is not too complicated however you do have to take the rifle to pieces. You do have to replace the hammer spring. (What is the hammer spring) When you cock the rifle using the bolt you pull back the hammer in the same way as you would with a live cartridge rifle. When the trigger is pulled the hammer then falls and strikes the primer, with the FX2000 instead of striking a primer to initiate the firing cycle it hits a small gas valve at the rear of the charge cylinder which allows a small amount of gas to escape and push the pellet out of the barrel. If you put a stiffer hammer spring into the rifle the hammer will fall faster and with more power and will let more gas travel through to power the pellet out of the barrel. Do not forget, increasing the power over 12ft/lb requires a fire arms certificate, failure to ignore this information will lead to 5 years imprisonment, yes, five years in prison for a fire arms offence.

Hi Gerry I agree 100% best rifle I have ever owned. For them that are interested in adjusting power look up FX 2000 on google tells you every thing about it. But remember what Gerry said about breaking the law. Bill

Hi, does anyone know how to tune it up? Thanks

    Hi brown0
I have just got myself an FX2000. I found out how to adjust the power but have not tried yet. If you try it let us know if it works. ADJUSTING THE POWER.
    U.K. SPECIFICATION AIR RIFLES.
The mechanism of this rifle has been factory set to ensure its power falls within the current U.K. 12 ft.lbs. maximum kinetic limit allowed without possessing a firearms certificate. If you adjust the settings, always have the velocity of the rifle checked to ensure it falls within the legal limit.
Remove the magazine and fire the rifle at a safe target before adjusting the rifle.
To adjust the power, remove the stock, then remove the air transfer port restrictor lockscrew, located on the right hand side of the cylinder. Turn the restrictor screw counter- clockwise to increase the velocity and clockwise to reduce the velocity. When adjustments have been completed, apply Loctite 542 to the air transfer port restrictor lockscrew.
Although the above method should be used when possible, adjusting the compression of the hammer spring may also alter the power. With the stock removed and the bolt and trigger mechanism in their fired positions, position a suitable straight blade screwdriver down the hole in the rear
cylinder end plug and engage the screwdriver into the slot of the hammer. Engage a 3mm diam.. pin through the hole approximately 45mm ahead of the bolt slot. Turn the screwdriver until the pin drops into the hammer nose slot - this locks the hammer nose while adjustments are made. Turn the screwdriver clockwise to increase the power of your rifle, counter - clockwise to reduce its power.
