General Comments

Bose Acoustmass speakers redefine the concept of speaker construction from big, bulky cupboards to small, cube boxes as small as a standard coffee mug. Yet the sound that these small cubes and their bass module can put out is just unbelievable!
Many of my friends, when they first heard my system, said their ears and eyes couldn't agree and they claimed that I was hiding some bigger speakers somewhere in the house. I let them look everywhere in the house to prove them otherwise. What impressed them even more was the clean, accurate and powerful sound they heard from the speakers. Some of these friends have since bought other Bose speakers, one of them is Bose's flagship 901's.
I love and am proud of my system because of its modest size but superior sound. I just can't find another speaker brand out there that offers as small speakers as these with the same sound quality and output. While several other companies are striving for smaller speakers their products still sound that - small! Up to now they are still a far cry from what Bose has accomplished in its Acoustimass products including the AM5! I suppose that it will be years before they come on par with the AM5 but then Bose will be many leaps ahead, as usual!
I personally recommend Bose AM5 as the ultimate choice for individuals like me who are serious about their music in stereo but can't afford extravagant products. I might say those expensive speakers are for the rich but I wonder how far they sound differently better than Bose considering the price difference!
After all, your ears are the ultimate judges in this field but Bose seems to comply with most ears. Based on that, it may be safe to say that "you just can't go wrong with Bose."
