Pretty quick

Great to drive
More popular than a Mondeo these days, or so it feels. Some niggles, and not cheap to service.
I doubt I can say much that is positive about the BMW 3 Series 325 Ci Coupe that hasn't already been said, either on this site or on any other. And it's all valid. There is so much going for this car, it's almost hard to think of saying anything bad.
The drive is first rate. The handling is fabulous. The ride is very good (I had tried the M Sport suspension but decided against it, as it was far too stiff), and the SE has very good understated lines, making it a subtle but sporty thing, but just about practical enough (you can get 2 in the back, more or less).
I think mine was first off the line on a Monday or last on a Friday, as within 18 months I've lost part of the underside (an oil drip cover), the boot lift mechanism has broken, and despite 3 trips in the annoying ride, noise in the back seat can not be located. Hardly poor reliability, but when you are talking the sort of outlay you need for a Beemer, it's a surprise to have any issues at all.
I'm likely to upgrade to a 5, soon if only to get more space in the back.
I also note how impressive the new shape 3's are, and the coupe looks fabulous.
