It makes a good espresso, with a nice crema

Doesnt have much power to steam milk too well. As a trained Barista I have used many espresso machines and you can usually steam milk within 30 seconds. With this machine if you are making two latte's it would take approx 2 minutes to steam the milk at which point the espresso has nearly gone cold!!! Not good!

Try frothing the milk first, then make the coffee and if required give the milk a little extra blast of steam before serving!

I have one of these - luckily I got it reduced at Sainsbury's because the box was ripped apart and the video was missing for only £20 !!

I agree with this guy's assessment, the milk frothing is painfully slow so if you use it, I suggest that you heat the cup that the espresso is going to go into before making it, then cover it to reduce the heat escaping while you do the milk frothing.

I don't have any problems with this machine, I simply froth the milk first, then it takes less than a minute to get the expresso. Thats the advantage of having dual thermostats, you don't have to wait for the machine to either heat up or cool down when switching between milk and coffee!
