This toolbar is pretty solid... Each site you visit the toolbar provides three indicators... a safety score...a popularity score... and a deal light. The safety score definitely works. I tested it out on some phishing emails and it caught them right away. The popularity scores are based on projections of the visitor population - which seem more useful than Alexa's black box system.. and the Deal Light is hilarious... it turns on if you are on a retail site that is offering valid promo codes. I haven't used a code yet, but I can't imagine not taking advantage of this feature down the road.
Bad Points
It's default search is Clusty... which is an alright search engine.. but not great. There is no way to set your preferences. There is also a 'MyCompete' button that leads you to a personalized member page that is clearly in construction - there is really nothing useful in it yet.
General Comments
There is an aspect of sharing your web pages that powers aspects of the toolbar... somewhat of a similar arrangement in how Alexa works. Many people aren't comfortable with this, but during installation you are given the option of turning of the "shared" feature off.
Regardless, very cool toolbar.
