My two friends arrived early at Cafe Uno in Hornchurch, and were quietly but quite emphatically told off for moving from a table in the sun to one in the shade. It can lead to confusion when billing apparently.

A drink specifically ordered without ice came with ice. A main course was wrong and was sent back. Panna cotta was ordered without the Rossini curl. It arrived with the biscuit, but without the raspberry coulis. I was then given Panna cotta without the biscuit and without the coulis. Third time lucky; my dessert was swimming in coulis.

Rissotto verde from the lunchtime menu was priced at £5.95, we were billed £7.85. The bill was corrected but without apology.

We did not leave a tip and definitely will not be going back.
