Very accurate and versatile wooden stock and synthetic available and powerful. Durable and good value for money good two stage trigger and bolt action single shot or multishot pcp and very silent. Also has a very good balance
No 177 but coming soon, manually operated magazine mechanism. The special grooves are a bit uncomfortable, but once you get used to it.
This Logun Eagle is a kind of rifle that when you set eyes upon it is either a rifle you love or loathe. The first thing I notticed was the synthetic stock which was a little uncomfy. But very good for indoor work where you need a rifle that can take a few knocks and dents. There is also a wooden stocked version available which in my opinion looks and feels better and is suited to all round work. The model I tested was the synthetic stocked version with rubber insert grip aids along forend and pistol grip with an ajustable butt pad. The tock was military styled and looked almost like an alien gun. I was given an 22 version which was a bit of a shame as I prefer 177 models but the shop assistant told me Logun were working on it. The Eagle comes with a single shot friction fit plastic loading channel and a manually operated 10 shot magazine. You can pick either which ever suits your style, I picked the 10 shot option as I was going to me putting it to the ultimate test. When a made my way to the range I had some drooling spectators wathing in awe. From a bench rest postion the Eagle shot solid 3/8 groups at 25 yards, only starting to open out when I passed the 35 yard mark. This is definitely a rifle that grows on you, sure the fact that you need to manually operate the magazine mechanism wont suit everyone like my self, but once accustomed it proves very efficient. The Eagle is a unique hunting rifle that is very quiet and versatile and reasonable value for money and will withstand a lot of abuse. Good rifle but in my opinion overall the Logun Solo fitted with a 10 shot magazine is better at only £320 rather than the Eagles £400
