Good Points
My MTX was a restoration project even before then it ran like a brand new bike. I went to replace the gaskets and the engine which had no history of being bored out was absolutly immaculate
Bad Points
Only bad point was for me was the amount of oil it drank for a 4 stroke engine so I have to buy new oil seals and engine oil additives to reduce it from burning all this oil.
General Comments
The MTX is a tidy bike, fastest 4 stroke 125 I've ever been on faster than my Honda XR so I'd recommend this bike to any body!

The MTX is not a four stroke.

Does it take engine oil or is it gearbox oil, because the oil filler cap is on the right hand side in front of the foot brake, not the gear change lever. Please correct me if i'm wrong as I have just bought one and now starting to know about MTX's.

I found this review not helpful because... The Honda MTX 125 is a 2 stroke and not a 4 stroke as stated in the review.

This would account for it being faster than any other 4 stroke (125cc) the reviewer has ridden and obviously account for the amount of oil it burns.

The tank on the upper left, with the site glass takes 2 stroke oil which it then mixes with the fuel and burns.

The gearbox (bottom right by the gear change lever) takes 10W30 tranny oil. 500ml on an oil change. 600ml on a rebuild...
