Good Points

I don't think it is a good idea!

Bad Points

What is going on in our schools?

General Comments

I was talking with my nephew the other day when the subject came up about how he was doing at school. I could not believe what I was hearing!

Apparently, in the school he attends in Manchester, the teachers have introduced a Red, Amber, Green System.... sounds interesting eh? I think not!
Each pupil is given a red card, an amber card and a green card. When they attend lessons, the pupil places one of the cards on their desk to tell the teacher:-

Red..... I am in a bad mood and likely to get angry - do not approach me!
Amber.. I am not in a good mood, approach me but I may not respond!
Green... I am fine today and will co-operate!

WHAT IS GOING ON?
I have been trying to see the sense in this system, but unfortunately I can not.
Where is the discipline in schools?
Surely this can't be a good system? Please feel free to put me right. I would welcome it.
