Huw Evans's review of Terra Nova, Cardiff Bay

Good Points
Great views, location is everything for this one. Owned by a brewery, which also owns Salt Bar opposite, it churns out pretty edible if not memorable food but it's strength is that it's on the water virtually and makes for a great meeting place with friends. Nice furniture and furnishing. Great for people watching.

Bad Points
Pretend tapas that you get cheaper and better at the Tapas restaurant opposite, chain food that never changes and the wine is expensive by the glass.

General Comments
Terra Nova in Cardiff Bay is a good place for lunch or early evening snack and drinks. Better food available elsewhere but it wins hands up on location, view and decor. Don't come here if you don't like tourists.

Terra has just launched a new tapas menu; obviously taking it seriously for a change and it knocks anything else available tapas-wise in Cardiff!!
