It is just a short drive to Southport
Pontins is filthy, out dated, poor facilities, poor entertainment, in need of a paint job, in need of good cleaners, windows disgusting as was carpets, curtains,sink , toilet, walls needed paint......I could go on forever
We had the misfortune to stay at Pontins Southport for a week. It was a Sun Holiday we were on so we knew it was going to be basic but we expected cleanliness. We were very much mistaken. On arrival we were disgusted with the level of filth we were expected to live in. We went to the reception to complain and heard other holiday makers complaining that the accommodation they had been put in was filthy and over run with ants!! They had been moved (at their cost) to a room that was just as filthy minus the ants. We decided at that point not to ask for a move but to purchase cleaning fluids and clean it up ourselves. I am glad we did not have small children with us because who knows what they would have ended up with crawling about those carpets. Pontins is the dirtiest place I have ever encountered in all my years of holidaying. Southport is a beautiful place and Pontins is an embarrassment to it. Sun Holidays have recieved a copy of this posting as has the news of the world in the hope that they take it of their listings so that others do not have to put up with this.
