Good Points

Excellent prices compared to the high street opticians. All-in-pricing. Very helpful website - couldn't be easier to order from an existing pair of spectacles and a new prescription. You can try the frames at home for a very modest price. 100% no-quibble money back guarantee.

General Comments

I was a little sceptical about whether GlassesDirect an on-line store could provide goods that required a personal service like measuring for spectacles. However, I needed a spare pair of spectacles and decided to give this site a go. I found the website very easy to use and with their help found out the size of my current spectacles. Armed with this and my current prescription I ordered a stylish pair of specs with lenses and free anti-scratch coating. For £15 I did not have high hopes but considering my last high-street specs cost 10 times that amount I thought it a good gamble. My prescription isn't exactly simple either - high dioptres and an astigmatism! Anyhow, the specs arrived within 10 days and I was really surprised at the quality. They fitted much better than my existing specs due to the flexible hinges, and I have decided to wear them as my main pair. My wife is now considering buying a pair of prescription sunglasses from them as a result. Thoroughly recommended.
