Good Points

Big field close to canal. Loads of room for kids to play when camping (or there was when we were there). Canal great for fishing. 2 pubs and 2 small shops selling most basics within 5 minute walk. Were there when scarecrows were all around village - absolutely excellent fun for kids to go on guided walk (with £1 map) and spot them all.

Bad Points

Outdoor toilet is pretty grim but the pub is open long hours. Nowhere to go and wash your pots if you are camping! (you have to boil the kettle and improvise)

General Comments

The Cotton Arms in Wrenbury is a good, basic site. Pub does does do takeaway food, either from proper menu or just side orders like chips, onion rings etc. Great location for walking or cycling.
