Booking flights on your behalf and you lose your rights as a consumer


General Comments

When booking with biking holiday companies such as Spain Trailblazers, if they offer to book your flights etc as a package, then they must hold an ATOL (or similar) licence (which costs a fortune apparently). My girlfriend works in a travel agent and she says if you let them book flights for you and they are not allowed/licenced to do this, you lose all your rights as the consumer. I think it is important to tell the man in the street who isn't aware of these facts, as I was looking at Trailblazers Spain as they offer flights as part of a package, and when we checked with the Civil Aviation Authority, they are not licenced.
