tory1980's Review of Mothercare Trenton Travel System

The Mothercare Trenton Travel System is fantastic to push! I used to have one with pneumatic tyres, and it had a mind of it's own! This pushchair goes where I want it to, when I want it to. The drop-down basket is a treat, but it did stick until I mastered the knack of gently pushing it to one side or the other, and now it drops every time. I bought the cot part separately, and it was £30 well spent. It is supposed to last for six months, but it will depend on the size of your baby. I also use it in the house for my son to sleep in. It fits easily into my car - a Vauxhall Cavalier, and I have loads of space around it and above, so there is still space for shopping and supplies. It has gone into my father-in-laws car (a Citroen Saxo) easily, but it did fill the boot. I love the fact that the hood folds either way to allow for sun or wind, and it saves the hassle of buying a sun shield or parasol. It has a one handed folding mechanism, which is a gift in itself. I love the material of the Latte version, which is one of reasons I bought it.

The apron on the car seat has a habit of falling back over baby when in the car if you pull it back. I don't need to worry about the seat belt because I bought the car seat base. One of the best things ever designed, considering I have three kids under four! I can put baby in and know he is safe. The buggy is quite bulky depending on what shop you go into, but on average I have no problems. I have used mine for almost two years, and I have noticed when I put my 21 month old in it the buggy does get quite heavy, but it is still easy to push - just a little heavy to try and lift!

I would highly recommend this buggy to anyone, whether they have a small or big boot, or if they need a travel system or not. I am only sorry it isn't an umbrella fold.
