Reasonable online access to your account.
Rubbish credit limit.
Restrictions on paying off ballances.
We took out the SkyCard based on 0% offer on the balance transfer offer. As many people, we use the credit card throughout the month and then pay off the balance when the bill comes in. That way you can max out your reward points and keep your cash in the bank to earn interest for the longest period possible!
HOWEVER BEWARE, SkyCard have put a restriction on the amount we can pay back to the card without incurring a 10 day 'payment verification'. This means that after filling up the card over the previous month, and then paying the balance when the bill came in we were left without money for the 5 days it took for the cash to get to SkyCard from my bank account (even though I used online transfer) and then a further 10 days whilst SkyCard 'verify' the payment. The bottom line is that for just over two weeks the cash is gone from my account and not credited to the card account, and in the mean time I can't use the credit card because I have no credit limit left and I can't use my bank account because I paid £2500+ to my credit card.
I thought I was doing the right thing paying off the balance, now I realize the right thing is to jack in the card altogether.
I called customer services and got absolutely nowhere. They told me that they were 'protecting my interest'. If I wasn't so skint right now I'd laugh out loud!
