General Comments
I feel everything that Keith Jarrett says in words, that he finally evokes the voice of the flame itself. I usually don't write about music, but I am making an exception today. From the first note of Part 1 to the last of Part 2, Jarrett instantly submerges himself within the flame, evoking powerfully moving sonorities, unlike any other music he has played. I hear a lot of Dark Intervals coloring Vienna, but it's much more powerful than Dark Intervals. Jarrett's genius grows and grows, speaking in terms that are more beautiful than what is previous, and this is what makes listening to all of his music a transcendent experience. Jarrett's ability to create beautifully improvised compositions (not an oxymoron) from nothing is absolutely pleasing to listen to, but I'm sure it is just a mere sample of the love he has playing them. Bravo Mr. Jarrett, bravo!!
