Picked up this 500 on a clearance for $59.00. The specs claim the FPS are not that high, but at 25 yds I was blasting through 1/4" plywood with no problem!! The barrel has a heavy duty plastic casing around it that I was not sure about at first. But it is just a covering and it's only funtion is looks. All the mechanical parts are good quailty heavy metal and very nicly built. After owning this Gamo I would not have a problem purchasing another.
Not really sure what the FPS are, some online specs say 689 and others 760. Also the maintenance information is lacking. No schematic of how to disassemble the gun, and instructions for lubrication the gun are the pivit point for cocking and the trigger.
Gamo Gamo Sporter - If you live in town where firearms are not allowed to be used and you would like something to plunk around with, this is the rifle for you. Enjoy!
