There are better hotels than the Grand Yavuz in Istanbul. The hotel is newly refurbished so it's clean. Air Conditioning is not turned on all day. It is controlled by reception and it comes on for only a few hours a day. To get to the SultanAhet and Topkapi area it takes 15 minutes, and you have to be fit on that hill.
