Really helpful staff, who explain things thoroughly.


Bad Points

Costly.


General Comments

My mortgage of £112,000 costs £56 a month to insure through Cheltenham & Gloucester Mortgage Protection Insurance. However, I got it down to £18.41 by going direct to A and A Life Insurance www.aandalifeinsurance.com. The company that provides the insurance also won the Which? magazine "best buy" award, apparently.
I also found a good article here:
www.guardian.co.uk/guardian_jobs_and_money/sto ry/0,,758105,00.html that recommends other companies that can provide the same sort of insurance, but for less money.

The lenders have a huge mark up on their own "in house" insurance policies.
