Good Points

Looks good

Bad Points

Lacklustre performance, engine needs revving hard, lethal in the wet. Great for track but no use at all for on road. Very disappointing car.

General Comments

I regret to say after buying my dream car, the Honda S2000, and driving it for 12 months I am very disappointed with it. After two close smashes, one where I turned 180 degrees in the wet I had to get rid of it. Definately an overrated car. Do not buy one, have an Impreza T will blow it away.

Perhaps you need to take some advanced driving lessons. That's what RWD is all about.

You would think that people would learn that driving a rear wheel car in the wet is dangerous at speed. Maybe a 4 wheel drive car is more suited to less skilled/less sensible drivers. Half the fun is that it is real wheel drive, but you have to treat it with respect. I've had my S2000 for 6 months now and have only just started to drive it hard as I now feel I know the car well enough.

'Lacklustre performance' go on!..the Honda S2000 2.0i Roadster does 150Mph. What are you used to driving? Veyron?

It's an old fashioned roadster with old fashioned handling traits. Stability, traction control anti-yaw etc., aren't its bag.

All I can say is go on a driving course get some experience in a rear wheeler then try again.

Hello! That is what rear wheel drive is all about. Perhaps you should go and get some lessons on driving with rear wheel power and then try again. Or perhaps you should get something like a Volvo, it will make you feels safe. Yes I have spun mine in the dry but that’s what made me respect the car particularly in the wet. The throttle is not an on off button you can push that little peddle progressively ease in the power and really exit the turn.
