Fabulous First Choice reps. All of them worked their socks off to make it a brilliant holiday.
Lovely food and a nice choice.
Clean, tidy and larger than expected room.
Fabulous kids clubs, and brilliant pools.

Two hour transfer from airport was a bit of a downer, but not absolutely awful.
Flight times weren't brilliant, being as they were in the middle of the night.
Upon leaving, the queue outside the airport was horrible, although it made up for it once inside, as we went straight through and on to the plane. Shame there wasn't a chance to have a coffee or some shopping.

This holiday was THE BEST ever holiday I've had.
The Petra Mare hotel in Crete was set about 1/2 mile from the lovely little town and promenade, but nonetheless, it was a decent hotel, with clean and tidy rooms, and wonderful air conditioning (after we'd learnt, on an evening, to take the key off it's fob and leave the fob in the holder in order to have the room cool when we returned).

The food was plentiful and decent, with lots of choice from fish and chicken to other delicacies, such as snails and calamari.

LOVED the pools, even if they were cold and saltwater!!! After swallowing lots of it, I can confirm you get used to it pretty quickly!!! But they were gorgeous to cool down in in the hot sunny weather.

Kids clubs were brilliant. We hardly saw the kids, and the kids club reps were patient and cheerful, and very much kid orientated.

Now to something I really must get off my chest (in response to the recent reviewer on here).
THE ENTERTAINERS WERE SUPERB!!! We loved them! They worked hard on their shows, and we appreciated them. The bingo calling was hilarious, and I couldn't stop laughing at the bingo callers little asides (particularly at number 14 hehe). And even though one of the entertainers bruised me at water-polo, I think I gave as good as I got!!! The cabaret was excellent, and I enjoyed singing along to some of my favourite songs from the swing era. One of the girls managed something that I've not managed since school... to get me to find more sports to be completely useless at (pool, shotput, darts - need I say more? haha), but I enjoyed having a go, anyway. Another of the girls got me to Cha-Cha slide more times this holiday, and that is one song I'll be glad to never hear again!!! I feel sorry that they have a whole season of it!!!
Guys, you were BRILLIANT!!! I wish I was still out there, cheering you on and winning the quiz!!!

The entire holiday was one of relaxation, pure enjoyment, laughter, friendliness and absolutely perfect. I couldn't have had more from a holiday, and depending on whether I want to explore other islands, I will definitely want to return.
