Fuel economy 67 mpg on a tour comfort of ride, fair size boot
In 4th gear when de excelerating the gear shift moves slightly but if you are driving hard this becomes quite a jolt engine and gearbox poorly matched in this gear only.
General comments are the Honda Civic 1.7 CDTI is a very good car overall. Fuel economy is excellent and performance is good. It is a car for the holidays - Glasgow to Blackpool still got quarter tank left and average speed was 68 but at bits I was just over the speed limit. I recently got a new shape 1.7vtec Civic when mine was in for a service, nice looking car but overall I prefered mine to the new Civic, was fast but a gas gussler and the new 2.2 CDTI looks to be a gutsy gas gussler but I still have to drive one. Overall the 1.7CDTI Civic is the one to have.
