Good Points

Looks, performance, reliability, rare, safe strong car, seats, tuning potentail. Holds value well as fast as a type R, Cupra R up to 60mph in standard form.

Bad Points

Bodywork spares a problem the worst the evan rare Galanza V version.

General Comments

I own the Toyota Galanza V the replacement to the Toyota Starlet GT which basically is exactly the same but has face lift and nicer body kit and other styling changes. The Galanza V is the last of the Starlet GTS and are P to S reg I think I'm not fully sure on that. Mine is a S reg, there maybe T reg Galanza VS. I have owned the car for a no of years, it's silver has 45k miles on the clock and had 283bhp when it was last put on the rollers which was last year. The engine spec is huge, very huge and this is all from its 1.3 turbo lump. People think I'm mad when they hear how much I paid for the car, 9 grand, but that was 4 years ago and it had 21k miles then and was jus 4yrs old and stil had 242bhp. I have managed 41bhp more and only 24k miles extra in 4yrs.I don't drive it to much as I own a Corsa gsi as well and drive that a lot. It's not just the bhp that makes this car so fast, it's lightweight, as a much more stronger, better car than a Nova it still weighs almost the same. 0-60 is 6.8 secs standard with 133bhp. Having almost 300bhp in such a small car is a nice feeling. Oh yeah anyone reading this don't get me wrong its not always bhp torque is what really makes a car fly, ie Skoda Fabia VRS. I recomend the Toyota Starlet or Galanza V to anyone. Go for the higher priced rarer Galanza V if u can afford it as it looks better. But the GT still looks good as the imports miles on the clock is fairly low.

That is the same output as my GTi-R Pulsar running 1 bar boost, your car is an animal!!! What mods have you done?

The car had a larger turbo fitted, bigger intercooler, all silicon hoses, hks air filter, hks stainless steel manifold and full hks stainless steel exhaust system, decat, skimed head, hks sparkplugs, performance sparkleads, enlarged radiator, superchip, lightweight triple clutch, lightweight flywheel, modified fueling system, mobil 1 oil, uprated drive shafts and it's run on Optimax fuel only.
