Small LCD screen for photo's, ready when you need it, card slot, good all in one printer, menu is quite easy to navigate.
Are Inkjet printers ever good on Ink consuming? Colour prints have noticeable print lines, cartridges can be expensive, how long will this printer last? Menu on computer can be best described as a venture at the best of times.
I had an Epson before this Lexmark P6350, it was an Colour stylus 880. I have to say one of the best quality printers I've ever used. So in buying its replacement I wanted more. All-in-one seemed like a good choice, I've been pleasantly surprised how much I've used the built-in card slot and scanner isn't bad too. Though I'm quite disgruntalled at the amount of ink these things use! I thought the Epson was bad!
Bad points for these printers is as they get old, the cartridges get ever more harder to get hold of, though they do reduce in price which is handy :-).
The print quality isn't quite as high rated as the Epson, I thought it would be near enough the same, maybe I just got one of the bad batch, so I'll look into it and maybe get a replacement. When the computer isn't on, it's a doodle to use. Though slightly more complexed when I try and print though a website or a document, so far I haven't been able to switch off the colour setting, so I'm using colourInk fast! But before I give you the wrong impression of the Lexmark, the quality is good though it could be better. I do like the fact that, I switch the Lexmark on, almost instantly it's excessable to use, the epson I had to wait a century it seemed.
If your interested in saving space, and buying more for your money, aren't bothered about extremely high quality scans, and pretty good prints then I'd go for an All-in-one. However if I knew what I knew about this Lexmark when buying it, or I could have had a test-day with it. Then I would have probably gone for the Epson RX520 or something esle.
Before I make Epson look like the God of all printers, my Epson only lasted 4/5 years, and quality did diminish considerably over that time. In the first year, brilliant, 2nd year, very impressive, 3rd ok.. 4th and 5th questionable. I would have to say things just aren't built like they are use to!
*I brought the printer from Makro, @ approx £69.99, usually it is around £150, so this is only reason I would have said it was value for money.
