Good Points

When working it is extremely powerful , having plenty of power to tow a trailer (fully loaded) up steep hills such as Telegraph hill on the M5 past Exeter, very easily in 6th/5th gear. Economy on motorways is very good. An example of which is going from Bristol to Paris easily on 1 tank of Fuel with some left to allow travelling round for a few days. The visibility and space inside is very good unlike other similar mpv's. Semi automatic handbrake which releases as you go to pull away makes easy hill starts, which can be released manually if required. Also putting handbrake on is extremely easy, and when you stop the car it comes on by itself so you cant forget it. On this model the key fob allows opening and closing of doors when near car, so you don't need to thumble around for a key with your hands full. Locking the car is also easy as you press the button on the door handle twice to dead lock car or once for just lock. It has 2 power points near rear seats so that dvd players can be used by 2 people in the back.

Bad Points

I have had 3 injectors replaced in less than one year causing poor idling (shaking the car on idle - a lot) , lack of power when loaded , again causing a shaking through floor from engine. To change a front light bulb you either have to take it to a renault dealer or take part of the front panel around the front headlight to pieces to be able to get to the bulb.

General Comments

The Renault Scenic is very powerful when running, very spacious and good visibilty unlike some mpv's with 2 thick posts at the front windscreen / side window area. Excellent for towing trailers apart from you have to make sure you don't forget the trailer is there as it is very powerful. Excellent on motorways driving at normal speeds giving excellent fuel consumption. Bit disappointed in the fact that it has been in garage 5+ times. Renault roof bars whistle quite a bit unlike old versions. If you can get used to the handbrake, you will never want the old handbrake system again, as this semi automatic handbrake makes driving in traffic etc a lot easier.
