Good Points

The location is absolutely fantastic! We stepped out of our door onto the sand and then into the ocean.
Snorkeling is wonderful.
Staff are eager to please.
Rooms were kept very clean.
The food was absolutely scrumptious.

Bad Points

We stayed in a standard room, and they are in need of 'updating' and brightening up.
No hot water to the sink, and this caused my husband problems when shaving.

General Comments

The location of Kuramathi Village in the Maldives is absolutely wonderful. It is a large island with lots of space. We were told that it was fully booked, but some days we only saw other people at meal times. This island is a must for all romantics. All of the staff are without exception, from the Kuoni representative (Mr T), waiters, room boys and reception staff etc., were all eager to help us to enjoy our stay on the island, and they were always happy and smiling.

A must for the romantics is an overnight stay on Kandholhudoo island which, can be arranged through your representative. We were taken to this very small island by speedboat and given an hours snorkeling with a professional diver. We were then shown to our water bungalow, and this had a four poster bed and a jacuzzi overlooking the sea. We then had lunch, and later in the day went into the Spa, where we had an hours full body massage overlooking the ocean. At the end of the massage we were invited to spend an hour in 'our' Spa drinking champagne and soaking in a bath. In the evening we had a romantic candle light meal on the beach. The next morning we were served a champagne breakfast!!! Absolute heaven!!!

This holiday has possibly been our best to date. We came home feeling very relaxed and refreshed, and even more in love than ever. We have now been married for 18 years, and the trip to Kandholhudoo was an anniversary present.
