Good Points
We found the staff extremely friendly, although the bar staff could have smiled more!! The hotel was very clean and safe for children. Kiddie entertainment was repetitive, but my 6 year old loved it.
The hotel has shops so you don't even need to leave the hotel if sight-seeing is not your cup of tea.
The camel trip offered by one of the chaps near breakfast is worthwhile if it's your first visit to Tunisia, as it gives you an insight into the real country rather than just the tourist areas.
The hotel also has stables for any horse lovers (or in my case nervous wrecks where horses are concerned). The staff there are great, and they are very friendly and knowledgeable. The rides are suitable for all ages and abilities, and I would recommend anyone, however novice, gives it a go. After all, how many times do we get the chance to walk, trot or canter along a beautiful white sandy beach with somebody by our side offering advice?
Bad Points
I don't think the hotel is very near to anything if you are the type of person who likes to leave the hotel of an evening. The alcohol provided was pretty basic; beer, brandy and vodka etc., but I'm sure most people can stomach one of them.
General Comments
We will definitely visit the Iberostar Sahara Beach in Tunisia again. The evening entertainment was OK, but nothing to rave about, although there were a few really good shows put on, and the Michael Jackson show was worth watching. There was too much karaoke for my liking though, and too many nights where the entertainment was provided by "including the holiday maker". This might be great for some, but it is not my cup of tea.
