I felt the lower midrange prone to muddle, but I really wouldnt make an issue of it in the price bracket.
General Comments
The Eltax Monitor III have a great design, good looking (Ive got the beach effect), good build quality.
I felt if they coped with Jazz best, there was a lot of space and presence.
Classical music was good too, I needed to tone down the bass a little.
Pop music, excellent but more complex electronica music (Orbital) got a bit muddy in the lower-mid.
I would have liked to test it on better equipment.
The price-performance ratio is brilliant. Looks good. Sounds good. Speaker positioning may hold the key to these units.
