Excellent picture quality.
Excellent value for money.
I could use it for around 9 months and then the problems started. The external part of the battery compartment gets warm, and the battery discharges within 3 hours, even without taking any photographs.
I tried getting it corrected in India (Interphoto at Delhi and Mumbai). The dealers at Delhi felt that it was normal. The dealer at Mumbai kept the camera for 2 months, and they still could not sort out the complaint.
I tried sorting it out with a dealer at Sharjah. Changed batteries, spent a total of over 7000 Rupees on the camera (50% of camera price) without any benefit.
Overall, the Nikon Coolpix 4800 is a good digital camera. BUT... No international warranty. Poor overall Nikon Service for customers in India and UAE, so avoid NIKON 4800 (or any NIKON product) if you are in India or UAE.
