The flights were on time.
The entertainment system was nice, but not that special.
Customer service at the airport was helpful, but very slow.
The plane was overbooked (as were many of their other flights), so several people with bookings were bumped, including myself because I arrived late. The food on the plane was mediocre for an international flight, and because they have this strange arrangement where they serve "VIP" passengers first, it took twice as long to serve me as it would if they just served everyone all at once. Beverages and other cabin assistance from the Flight Attendants was nearly non-existent on all 4 segments I flew.
I was bumped from my Cathay Pacific flight, but it was partially my own fault, so I didn't factor that into this review. However, given the higher pricing on most of their flights, I would highly recommend other carriers with better service before I would choose Cathay Pacific, unless it was for travel directly to Hong Kong. The cabin service, I felt was the worst part of the experience for such a long flight. Other carriers might have someone come by every 15 minutes, while on Cathay Pacific flights, it was less than once an hour.
