Fabulous acceleration and big car feel, fuel economy brill
Water comes into the car through passanger side when parked on hill when it rains. I can't change cd's on the dash when cup holder is out. Not much leg space in rear. Practically impossible to change headlight bulb - says in the book you should take it to the dealer - just to change a bulb!!
I've had my UK spec Volkswagen Golf import now for 4 year and 70k miles. No major problems - until now. The electrics are really playing up - central locking, main dash screen etc. The main thing that worries me is that the heated seat element in the inside of the driver seat has burnt a whole through. I had started wondering why I felt as if a bee had stung me in the bum all winter!! But now it's getting worrying as it could start a fire and the hole in the seat might get bigger. Has anyone else had this problem? Even though my warranty has long ran out, I was going to have a go at my main dealer as I recon it might cost £350+ to put right. Also fuel economy is slightly down from what I used to get when the mileage was 40-65k - the car is serviced by the book - Any comments?
