Good Points

Incredibly accurate
Decent fit and finish
Decent price

Bad Points

Lever action stiff since it's indexing the cylinder and loading pellets at the same time.
Gauge is inaccurate. Gives green for okay pressure when you're nearly out.
Power wheel is goofy. You index it to the small dot for more power instead of the larger dot.

General Comments

Got my EunJin Sumatra used online for $300 with probe. Looked to have been shot less than 200 times. First thing that caught my eye was the awful hunting scene "engraved" on the sideplates. It makes no sense on this type of gun.

Lever action works flawlessly but be ready to exert some arm force since the lever not only rotates the cylinder but also forces a pellet into the breech on the downswing.

Word of caution: Load the pellets from the rear, not the front of the cylinder. For whatever reason, front loaded pellets have a tendency to suffer from skirt blowout.

With a cheapo scope (some maladjusted Wal Mart $10 special that came with it), got a decent dime sized pattern at roughly 25 yards and that's with eyes that are somewhat out of whack after 46 years.

2nd word of caution: The heavier the pellet the better. Don't use cheapo Chinese pellets because this rifle will blown them to bits on high power. Use heavy Eun Jin pellets or the heavier Crosman series.

By the way, this rifle is actually too powerful for hunting small birds and some rodents. You can blow a small bird or rat in half at decent ranges with this monster.

In the end analysis, you could do a whole lot worse and spend a whole lot more money. Worth having in your collection.

I agree with this review because... It's dead on, all sumatra's and careers air rifles are power monsters. Plus their super accurate.
