General Comments

Wonderland is to the north of Toronto, and it is easily reached via the major highways in the area (check the website for details). Access and parking are both excellent, and entry into the park is made simple by helpful staff. As a family of five we expected the worse, but the reality was that an all day pass was just £62 including tax, and for our age group (sub 12 year olds) it was fully inclusive.

Once inside the park you are welcomed to the central hub of the park by a spectacular waterfall (think Niagara Falls) with shopping and restaurants around the outside. While the map isn't brilliant, it's pretty obvious that Paramount have really thought about the layout of the park, and they have not only put the kiddy area closer to the entrance, but they have linked areas of similar age groups in series.

Having younger children we made a sprint over to the Nickelodeon section and enjoyed a whole range of exciting rides aimed at the under 10 age range. The number and range of rides was very surprising, and there were at least ten separate rides to bring a scream to our three little so-and-so's.

Food at the park exceeded expectations also, with a fantastic Chinese (Teriyaki Experience) and lots of places to get fries, Icee's (crushed ice drinks), Mr Sub (think Subway) and so on. It wasn't even that expensive; certainly no more expensive than Disney, and the quality really was there.

Note: If you plan to take your own food into the park (and they are OK with that) you can not take canned goods. Bottles are fine, but cans are not, and they will be confiscated on the way in. It's a security measure for your protection, but I can see it being an issue.

Staff, it has to be said were polite and helpful. The only down point of Wonderland was that the toilets on our visit were not up to the same standard as the rest of the park. But all things being relative, this didn't ruin the day for us in any way.

Basically, I have both thumbs up for Wonderland, and so do the rest of our family. We truly enjoyed the day we spent there, despite the high temperatures and humidity. One tip I can suggest is that purchasing an annual pass is only slightly more expensive than a single day ticket. So if you plan to visit the park at least twice, get an annual pass and save yourself a fortune!
