I wished to discuss with Barclays issues with my Business account. I was told at my branch where I work that I had to speak to my "Personal Business Banker" at my local branch, and needed to use the in-branch phone. The person who took my query on the phone could not find my business account, then tried to call my Business Account person who was not at my branch, but also unavailable. The person taking her calls was not available either and was only on voicemail. I was then told that someone should call me, maybe tomorrow. Now I know I am a valued customer.

General Comments

Having been a customer with Barclays for over 20 years I would never advise anyone to be one. Barclays do not seem to care about their existing customers, and service on my business and personal accounts has sometimes been appalling.

There are far better banking services available. Check the internet.

I will probably close my Barclays accounts. The sad thing is they probably won't notice and won't care.
