General Comments

I went ahead and bought one because I was satisfied with the reviews it got and the price on airgun express was pretty good (56 plus shipping). Overall its a very nice piece. Heavy build, sleek finish, looks bad ass. I dont have a problem with the serrated trigger, I dont think the trigger pull is too stiff either. The sights on it are nice (full adjustable rear - windage/elevation; blade ramp front). The pistol is sufficiently accurate to my tastes which are pretty demanding. It puts the shots out with a lot of velocity which is nice since it really tears up whatever it hits if you use pointed pellets. On the flip side gas power drops off more quickly than with lower velocity pistols. This can be a problem if youre lazy about changing it or cheap with the co2 tubes. As soon as pressure drops off the pellets just jam them selves up in the barrel. This happens just straighten out a coat hanger and ram it out. now for what I don't like, but by all means it doesnt make me regret purchasing the pistol. The cylinder magazines only hold 8 shots, tough but oh well I can live with it, just pop it out and have the other two that it came with loaded up ready to go. Therein lies another problem. On my first day shooting I went to change clips and boing. The cylinder popped out and got lost in the grass. When changing clips restrain the barrel when it springs open because itll eject your magazine out and it can get lost pretty easy (theyre small and black). The grip plate on the right side is fairly loose but its not too bad. I had a daisy 693 and it was much worse. It would just fall off sometimes. If it gets bad I have a black rubber band to put around it. Im still undecided about the cam piercing mechanism, it seems nice but its not without its faults. Perhaps I just have to adjust it but sometimes Ill put a co2 in and think its punctured. Go to shoot - nothing happens. Go to open the cam and gas leaks out. I tightened it up and it seems to be alright. If you're using deformed pellets (slightly squashed skirt - not mutilated looking) they may fit in the individual chambers of the cylinder loosely and slide forward while the clip is loaded inside the pistol resulting in a jam. Just eject the clip and get rid of the pellet. So far Ive added a laser sight to the trigger guard (not necessary but looks very CQB) as well as chopping down an internal spring and stretching it out to reduce the trigger pull. If you have a serious beef with it Ill give you directions how but dont blame me if you kill your new toy. There goes the warranty but I feel attached to a pistol that I can open up, mess around with, and put back together and still have it functioning at 100%. Great gun overall. Spent a few months looking for a good price and found it here http://www.airgunexpress.com good service too, got the pistol within 5 days of ordering it for pretty low shipping costs.

Ok first of all, thank you for writing your review.... its a VERY good review.

About your jamming problem. I suggest you use CROSMAN branded pellets. Crosman branded pellets are slightly different than other pellets.

I wrote a review about them. I too have played with a C4o and also own a crosman 1008 co2 pistole. Here is what I wrote:

    GETTING JAMMED:
People say it gets jammed. Well, that is because they are using POOR quality pellets or pellets are are not brand CROSMAN. If you use any other type of pellet, then it might get jammed, especially if you use RIFEL bullets. Yes they are simlar in shape and size, but the crosman is made for REVOLVER type guns such as this one (guns that use a revolving clip for a magazine). If you have any type of revolving magazine, then I suggest you get the crossman pellets. I only got JAMMED once for useing the wrong type of pellet. ever since, I used crossman pellets, it NEVER got jammed again. =]

The Crosman C40 and 1008 are very simerlar, actually the same if I may say, but just the C40 is made of real nickle or zinc. an its much heavier. and cooler... =]

Where did you buy your pistol at? The cheapest I found it was at $66 plus $10 or so s/h.
