Intergrated FM Tuner is excellent and now the pre-sets issue (absence) has been resolved it's easy to use.
Similarly the track indexing software has improved (Why would anybody ever want alphabetical listing?).
Sound is excellent as are the boxed headphones.
Bad Points
The i-river software is completely useless. The unit won't work with WM10 or any other application.
The unit is physically robust but as soon as you turn it on it seems to be teetering on the edge of collapse - you press a button - it might work, it might work in 45 seconds or it might just hang.
General Comments
I could never recommend buying an H10 because the unit is just not reliable enough
- The first unit I bought didn't work (and I mean nothing) straight out of the box.
- The second worked for about 3 months and then had a "catastophic system failure" after reasonable daily use and had to be returned.
- The third has just done exactly the same thing after 6 months of hardly being used at all and I'm not looking forward to the upcoming argument with the supplier.
The iRiver H10 is pretty, it's easy to use, it even has some impressive innovations; but what's the point if it doesn't actually work.
