General Comments

I was a faithful customer of Chase credit cards for more than 7 years, paying every bill on time, with the exception of one late payment (by 2 days) last year. The result was a 24 percent hike in interest payments. I called to try to get the interest down, but I was denied, so I dumped the bill by paying off the full amount. The result was a penalty of $33. I called to enquire why the payment of $33, and I was told that it was because the bank HAD to carry my balance to the end of the month.
