General Comments

The Canon EOS 350D is a great digital camera for the price, and it is definitely one for both novices and more experienced photographers. It can be used as a point and shoot in Auto, or you can be creative with full manual controls. It has more features than its predecessor the 300D, and can do just about everything its bigger brother the 20D can do. Image quality is excellent, and with its fast start-up you won't miss a thing.

It's very light and easy to carry around, which is great if you travel a lot, and I have no trouble with its small size, and it is very comfortable to hold.

The only gripes are the LCD display of the settings etc would have been better on top of the camera, and also it does not show the ISO speed. The menu system could have been laid out better. However, many things can be changed with just a button press (ISO with 2 presses - pity that).

Overall though, for the current price of the camera at under £500 with the kit lens, it's a steal. I have a 28-300 Tamron DI zoom lens along with the kit lens, which at the price is good, and between them will cover just about everything anyone would want to shoot.

I am amazed at the overall quality of this camera. Digital photography has come a long way in recent years, and this model proves that!
