Good Points

Staff were always polite.


Bad Points

After being told my husband was terminally ill, Norwich Union Life Insurance took 6 months to look at the claim, phoning every month or to keep me up-to-date. Except they couldn't tell me anything. After his death, they finally decided they wouldn't pay the claim because of non-disclosure of incidents we had forgotten, which occurred up to 24 years before his death and which were entirely unconnected with it.


General Comments

From the beginning, I got the feeling that the only reason for having the "free" terminal illness cover with Norwich Union was to trawl through his medical history in order to look for something to enable them to refuse the claim.

Every professional person I spoke to said "but that was nothing to do with his death". It wasn't. It was all to do with Norwich Union life insurance hiding behind legal jargon to cover up their poor moral ethics.
