Good Points

-Many different weapons, all with different sound effects, range and damage.
-Good PC graphics.
-Many different types of vehicles, including helicopters, motorcycles and sportscars.
-Many different and interesting missions.
-Free roam around vice city.
-1980's theme complete with hilarious radio stations.
-Different unlockable clothing for Tommy.


Bad Points

-Quite choppy on slower computers.
-Can't configure to accept a steering wheel.
-Tommy Vercetti can not swim...


General Comments

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is one of the best games one could own for the PC. The variety of weapons and vehicles is amazing. There are many missions in the game, which are good sources of money and unlock new outfits/safehouses. But you don't have to do the missions, you can roam around vice city and wreak havoc in your path. There are also races, RC car races, RC plane checkpoint races, insane jumps, hidden packages and safehouses and businesses to buy. Once you buy a business it unlocks a whole set of missions that spawn there. There is also... game modding! You can download vice city mods that change aspects of the game, such as cars, weapons, etc. You can also tweak the stats of weapons of cars without downloading anything. There are hidden packages scattered around the whole of vice city, and if you find all 100, you unlock various things. In Vice City, unlike GTA 3 there are buildings that you can enter and interact with, such as safehouses, stores and clubs, such as The Malibu and the Pole Position. Another inporvement from GTA 3, the addition of a voice for the main character. Tommy Vercetti is a very sarcastic character and fits in as a crime family type person very well. There are 7 types of weapons in GTA: Vice City; Melee, Pistol, Submachine gun, Shotgun, Assault Rifle, Heavy Weapon and Grenade. You can carry one weapon of each type at a time. As you progress throughout the game you acquire safehouses, some of which have garages in which you can store vehicles. All in all, Vice City is an excellent game, with a huge amount of replayability and open-ended gameplay that will keep you entertained for many hours.
