Good for children of all ages (and adults)! Helps children understand the fundamental issues of geometry, physics, design, art and technology. Stimulates the brain. Can be used in groups or alone. Can be used for educational purposes or just for fun! KAPLA was recently awarded Best Classic Toys 2006 by Dr. Toy (www.drtoy.com) as well as Smart Play/Smart Toys 2006.
Bad Points
They can get quite expensive, but the KAPLA planks are of superb quality and last forever!
General Comments
The Kapla game helps children of all ages understand the fundamental issues of geometry, physics, design, art, and technology, while thinking critically and working in groups or alone. It also introduces students to the world of art, and to the universe of shapes and volumes, while developing concentration and a feeling of balance. the KAPLA plank requires no glue, no snaps or interlocking parts, not a single nail or screw, just imagination, gravity and stacking these distinctively shaped planks one on top of the other. Their classic 1:3:5: size and ratio, plus basic building techniques combines creations and structures as graceful as artwork with the stability of stones.
