Very nice compact design
Surprisingly solid
Excellent video capabilities
Nice menus
Poor flash
Picture quality not always great
Unfortunately the Sony CyberShot DSC-T1 camera fails in exactly the areas it should be best at. It's a slim and tidy camera, should be ideal to keep in your pocket for a quick party shot. But the poor flash and low light picture quality mean that those indoor shots all end up with lots of redeye and for some reason floating dust looking like snow is common.
Outside this camera takes very nice photos and has a reasonable array of features.
The video is particularly good for this camera's generation. It takes 640x480 video at 25 fps with no file limit. The higher frame rate (most camera's of this generation only captured at around 15 fps) really makes a huge difference.
If you plan to take this on a round the world trip to take mostly landscape shots then it's a great camera. For an everyday mugshot point and click camera I wouldn't recommend it.
