Good sound, comprehensive in/outs especially if you want 5.1 surround.optical I/O is useful. MIDI is ok too but, see below.
Bad Points
Driver install is weird and can be a bother. N.B. some UK suppliers do not include a MIDI/gameport backplate and won't help nor will Terratec. RCA digital in/ out would be better than optical (or fit both!).
General Comments
I have had two Aureon 5.1 cards in 3 years. The cdrom split for the first one and Ttech would not help. A year ago I bought another card but it came without the MIDI plate and the cd did not have all the old software. Again Terratech were chocolate teapots. Good card: Don't expect much backup if you have problems.
