It was OK in the past. I have been using the service for a number of years, but recently it has been a right pain.
They have upgraded their security, but instead of informing customers you are presented with a message when logging on that the details you have entered are incorrect. No way - I have been doing this for years. The only option you have is to re-register. It's no longer a simple telephone call. Why? I don't know. When re-registering you know you have to include digits in the password, which is far harder for me to remember, and it's one strike now and you're out. And you then need to re-register all over again! If you pay off any bills using this service, particularly your credit card - beware. Oh yes, the same thing happened to my sister and brother-in-law and they didn't get their password wrong either.
The manner in which Natwest online banking upgraded security was terrible. If they needed to do it there were other ways. I have enjoyed online banking for many years, but a password that combines letters and digits, and their one strike your and out policy has rendered it completely useless. When they send you the new activation code you have difficulty reading it, as it's under a darkened scratch panel and you don't always get it from when you are locked out, even when you request it!
