Fairly nippy & not bad on diesel.
Very expensive to run, many dealers are expensive & not very helpful.
From new it had a computer problem (replaced under warranty). Paint problems (peeling on sill) repainted badly under warranty.
The gearbox has just exploded at 65K without any warning. Upon strip down the clutch drive plate showed little wear , but the metal centre had 3 stress cracks - which would have soon caused failure anyway.
18K services too long - oil & filter changed on mine every 6K - and it is always ready for it. Also very heavy on air cleaner elements - change mine every 10K - greatly affects performance.
I am going to try to claim against Renault UK - as a qualified mechanic I have completed all repairs to my Kangoo using Renault parts but this job has still cost me £1500 plus my labour & vehicle hire.
Has anyone else had gearbox problems at low mileage?
